Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Woody Williams Foundation will proudly host the second annual Woody Williams Legacy of Service Celebration in Louisville, KY. This special event will celebrate the life and mission of the late Hershel “Woody” Williams, a Medal of Honor recipient who devoted his life to serving others, particularly Gold Star Families. The event will highlight the ongoing work of the organization he founded, dedicated to supporting and honoring the families of fallen service members.

2024 continues to be an incredible year for the Woody Williams Foundation as we uphold our mission to serve Gold Star Families. This year, 10 of our locations will have installed and dedicated their community’s Gold Star Families Memorial Monuments. The foundation now boasts 204 points of service, with 18 Outreach locations.

With our ever-expanding footprint, we are continuously discovering and assessing the existing needs of those we serve. Each monument location serves as a point of service, allowing us to utilize each monument as a forward operating base for all mission-related activities, including our Outreach and Education programs.

The foundation remains dedicated to building strong relationships within the Veteran Serving community and providing additional resources to Gold Star Families.
